- Time and Resources: When a customer books entertainment services, the business may have to turn down other clients or invest time and resources into preparing for the event. If the customer then cancels the booking, the business may not be able to recover the costs and time invested, making it difficult to refund the deposit payment.
- Limited Availability: Many entertainment businesses have a limited number of performers, equipment, or props available. If a customer cancels their booking, the business may not be able to rebook the date, leaving them with a loss of income.
- Booking Commitment: By paying a deposit, the customer is making a commitment to book the entertainment services. If the customer then cancels the booking, it can be challenging for the business to find another customer to fill the slot at short notice, leaving the business with a loss of income.
- Customization: In some cases, the entertainment services may be customized or personalized for the customer's specific event, making it difficult to resell to another customer. In such cases, the deposit payment may not be refundable as the business has already invested time and resources in preparing for the event.
- Contractual Obligations: Many entertainment businesses have contracts with their customers that specify the terms and conditions of the booking. In some cases, the contract may specify that the deposit payment is non-refundable, and canceling the booking would result in a breach of contract.
The exception for us to refund a deposit payment is in the instances where the products or services you booked where unavailable through Irish Entertainments for the date and location you choose. A full full and quick refund will be issued with normal banking delays for the completion of the transition to be expected.

If a customer books item 1 for €250, item 2 for €250, and item 3 for €500, and our policy is to collect a 20% deposit, then the total deposit collected would be €200 (20% of the total booking cost of €1000).
If the customer later cancels item 3 for €500, then it is our policy to retain that 20% for the reason that item 3 has been marked as 'unavailable' for the period of time from your booking till the change was made for any new clients to book.

If you find a product or service with a discount offer, this means you would be offered that discount on the full unit price on the discounted item and not just a discount deposit amount. 👍

We only ask for a deposit at the early stage, only if the items customers requested are available do we allow you to make bigger payments.
If your item is not available after making an order on this site we will make a full refund.

We understand that travel fees can be an additional expense for our customers, which is why we offer a fee waiver for orders over €500 up to a maximum of 80 kilometers from our offices in Waterford.
The reason we charge for travel beyond 50 kilometers is to cover the costs of transportation, fuel, and time. We want to ensure that our products and services are delivered to your event in a safe and timely manner, which sometimes involves a significant amount of travel. Charging for travel helps us to maintain the high standards of service that our customers expect from us.
However, we want to make our services as affordable and accessible as possible, which is why we waive travel fees for orders over €500 up to a maximum of 80 kilometers from our offices in Waterford. This allows our customers to benefit from our products and services without incurring additional travel costs.

Of course you can, we have a dedicated link at the top of our website called Manage Booking with a link at the bottom called 'Make a Payment'. We use Revolut Business to complete these transactions. This also offers our customers really quick way and convenient way to pay with the option to pay with Revolut, Apple Pay, Google Pay or just with credit cards.
